Faking the alarm

Most LEDs are low voltage and require a cheap resistor for 12v.
If you know the type of LED you can determine the resistance needed - it might already be included in the wiring.

I think that might be quite difficult to find out - probably a closely kept Triumph secret!

Eagle, you got too much time on your hands, but if you manage to do it I would want one too!

Just plugs straight into the alarm socket under the tank.

I investigated the Talon alarm (looks like good kit) but the Triumph plug and play wiring loom they supply is not suitable for the R3 - looks like the wires would need extending as the unit won't fit close enough to the plug - 8 wires to extend - and they'd have to be properly soldered and shrink-wrapped. Might do that. Thinking about which option is best.
