Hi All,
just back home from Europe which included a visit to Hinckley. I highly recommend it to anyone travelling to UK... I did it in a day trip from London.
If people would like some pics of the bikes in the museum etc that I could photograph please let me know and I’ll put up pics.... couldn’t take photo or video on the factory tour.
I must say, watching actual bikes being built and tested was an experience and gives me a lot of faith in the precision with which the bikes are built and tested. However quality control is testing 1 in 10 bikes essentially but that’s still very high. I can also testify that what are now the old rockets were all built in Hinckley. New ones are made and assembled from parts built in different factories but all camshafts and crankshafts are built at Hinckley. Any questions please ask... learnt so much not sure what info to put up?
