Engine oil level dropping.

Thanks for the reply. So they all seem to have this problem. It seems it does no harm then and a repair is not a permanent fix and its not a serious problem?
No it isn't just start the bike normally let it idle for oh say a minute and both the scavenger pumps will return the oil to the tank pretty darn fast. Now if and when (in my case soon for I have a few things to do) you open the front up and you know yours is leaking you can check and fix if you want.

Thanks I got that on list, mine is the #39 also oil tank draining slower after stop or say when changing oil, appreciate ya
You have both and since the valve gets sucked open everytime you start the bike and stays open until you power it down there is a better chance that it ckeans itsself out. The disc is just a flat and compresses the spring then heald in by a internal snap ring. Now #39 the small nozzel which get oil straight from the pump before the oil gets filterd had a better chance of developing a leak/dribble from particulates. So if its a slow leak down from experience I would go straight for the nozzel.

Thanks. Triumph tell you to check oil after running engine. That's fine so long as it's got oil in it. I suppose they know the oil level drops on shut down. Seems a bit hit and miss but if there's no oil puddle on the floor it got oil in it.
I just don't rev it up until the oil pressure is up.
Good thing to remember letting oil pressurize and disperse throught the engine is especially good for crankshaft, rod, and cam bearing journals not to mention the rest of the engine.

When you cleaned out the non return valve did it fix it?
On one bike yes on the other no it is the dribbling oil nozzle. I'll look at that this spring since I have a bad coolant hose, plus when Carpenter Racing put the inspection plug back in the cover I can not get it out its in so tight, or cross threaded, or maybe locktite im not sure. Anyway its so tight the hex on the plug is twisting but not the rest of the plug. Its been a real beach monitoring and adjusting the timing chain tensioner because of this. And well while I'm in there I'll change the clutch basket and fibers.

Can you post that clutch basket number I reckon it’s the billet Ebc basket?

I don't think EBC makes a clutch basic for the rocket. I am installing a MTC basket along with their fibers. Iv had the basket for a while so as long as I have to pull the clutch cover to fix it or trash it and install a new one. I figure I'd install her.
