engine management light "on"

If a vacuum tube has come off then it may be caught in the throttle mechanism.

I lifted the tank removed the ramair air filter shone a light in behind the throttle body these vacuum line are solid brass so I wiggled my finger wherever I could not see and came upon one big bolt kind of loose in behind the #2 intake I managed to get it away with trusty surgical scissor, I have no idea where this thing came from it is a 14mm head and 5 cm long black in color and fine thread this stupid bolt somehow was stuck and holding whatever makes the full rotation of the intake plates now the grip rotate all the way as it should. as far as code p1105 is concerned I will let the shop deal with it
big relief!!

The question is: Where did that bolt come from???
Did you fit the Ramair after removing the Triumph intake system or did you have triple K&N's?
Might be the original bolt that holds the intake plenum to the frame....

I installed triple K&N filters for a year then I switched to ramair last fall that bolt was kind of big and I was so p...off I threw it as far as I could throw. should have taken a picture. it was a 14 mm fine thread and black about 4 inches long I do not think it was bolted anywhere to anything on this bike my guess it fell in there while the previous owner worked on the wiring and did not notice the drop. I ran a magnet in all the nook and crannies around the top of the engine just in case some other "stuff" was laying around
nothing so far
BTW where is post# 11 I see no number on my screen.

"based on this reply the throttle is not held back by the ecu when everything is turned off yet it just rolls 1/8 of an inch and stop solid I checked the switch block , the grip, the lines behind the overflow bottle and I can only think that something in the tps locks it ..very weird . I have not gone so far as to remove the wires locks connected to the rotating wheel at the intake"

The vacuum lines are not brass but the do slide over brass tubes like below

2011_0224_221015.JPG

one is plugged and the other has a line that goes to a fuor port plastic connector thrre small lines one from each throttle body hooks to it and then a large one runs from it to the MAP sensor if your loosing to much vacuum it will throw a voltage alarm in the ecu. Which is the code your getting. Its either that or the electronic plug is off the map sensor. This is what throws the engien light. save yourself some money and chase them down. It could just be the plug on the map sensor or the large hose.
