I have a '13 Touring, and the GPS has been screwing quite often. I open it up, clean it, relube it and put it back together again. After a few miles, it messes up again and doesn't indicate neutral. Since this is the only gear indicated on this machine, what happens if I just disconnect it entirely. I know it serves to tell the bike to shut off if put in gear when the stand is down, but the last time I did that was in 1971 on a Honda 350 scrambler! Can I disconnect this without damaging anything or disrupting the bikes proper running?
