im with ya, that is the way i look at them also off or on but normally open normally closed is how they are referred to in the electronics world

how are you going to use this switch?
is it required for the track?
is this the type that is a wrist pull pin that turns off ignition or the type that shuts down all battery voltage?
please clarify.

It is required for Ecta in Arkansas, it is wrist or wherever you connect it self, so if you leave bike it will kill it. I will either tie into kill switch in right hand cube or i will tie in coil.

either the kill switch with nc pull switch or
cut wire engine management relay number 85 and add a couple of wires up to with nc pull switch
this would be safer
if going for coils you would have to cut the positive before all of the coils.
