Is it true that the ECM takes a while to adapt to a new tune downloaded into it as in time for the sensors to be recalibrated or whatever after a few tank loads of fuel?I was told this and it seems odd to me as i thought a new tune would reset all values and the bike should be performing differently straight away.Pardon my techno ignorance fellas!

The Triumph tool forces the ecm into accepting the new tune immediately. The adaptation takes place afterwards, if necessary, by riding the bike, to fine tune for your actual riding conditions.

my dealer told me this about the bike needing to be ridden for a while to adapt fully. My bike was going well before this new updated tune with good cold starts and 6.9l/klm fuel economy. Now its not quite as good at cold starts and the latest fuel economy test albeit only over 200klm or so was 7.4l/klm.
Dealer doesnt have old tune from my 05 model to put back in it either, bugger it!If it aint broke dont fix it! comes to mind , but hey, I figure they know more than me so i trusted them that the new tune would be an improvement.

I'd change to a new dealer. How do they not have the original Triumph tune?!?
