Dyno'd my 2016 Roadster

Hey Gang,

Ended up getting my 2016 Roadster dyno'd yesterday. Mods are Ram Air intake and Hans O tune. Bike made 131RWHP and 150RWTQ.

Only issue I saw was a dip at 5600RPM...i'm assuming its the restriction of my stock exhaust causing it but I wanted to get everyone else's thoughts. I did not get an A/F reading but I will next time I go.

Video and dyno sheet below...please let me know your thoughts on the dip at 5600rpm.

Wish you had a dyno and chart from before you added the RamAir so we could see how much you lost. Just thought I'd rile up the nay sayer's.

With the stock exhaust probably not anything...though I agree, making big changes tends to move the curve around, and one or two changes alone usually aren't enough to do much. But....if you like what you've achieved....run it like you stole it!

Considering your peak torque figures are at such low RPM it is pointless to exceed 5600 anyway as virtually all bikes except more highly modified ones drop off HP and torque peaks well before red line. Did you ask if HansO's tune included a red line cutout delete which would be unlikely to be of any use with a stock exhaust?
Virtually all tunes reach a peak for HP and Torque before dropping off. Typically if you try to move the power drop-off off point up the rpm range the torque curve follows which would not suit your stock exhaust setup and is likely to be unattainable. You may end up with a lower peak figure for each.

Those numbers are very similar to mine with ramair and gutted mufflers. I believe the restrictions are in the header. Mine was 155hp and 133 tq if I remember correctly.

I think your figures are quite different to ChicagoRocket's, like chalk and cheese or the stock Touring versus a stock Roadster.

Dyno HP and torque peak outputs are incomparable anyway as every dyno machine is different besides calibration, air temp etc etc. Really, only runs on the same dyno machine with the same atmospheric conditions and external cooling fan setups etc, etc are comparable. I understand even tire pressure changes between runs can make a significant difference.

The most useful thing is the shape of the curves and where peaks and dips occur

ChicagoRocket didn't state but all 3 of his runs were probably done on the same day with similar conditions but had a number of differences anyway without any stated setup/tune changes.
