well i hate to say it....
I bought my Rocket III Classic (used 2008 with 5,100 miles) June 13, 2012 from Farmers Branch, Texas (suburb of Dallas) off of RPM Cycle. Very nice bike I might add, looked like brand new. Anway, I'm from Illinois and rode the Amtrak alll the way from central IL to Dallas, and picked my bike up shortly afternoon in Dallas. Boris the shop manager and I went over certain things on the bike: how to change the oil, etc. etc. and then went into his office for the paper work and to pay for it and then I WAS off on my own. I headed out for Georgetown Texas to see a friend and when I checked into the Comfort Suites Inn very late that afternoon, pulled up to a parking space, put my foot down and YES there was very small pieces of gravel that I did not see and just like stepping on marbles, my foot slipped and YOU GOT IT - down I went. I had the strength of superman when I pulled it back up, heart beating 90mph. This ole 63 year old man has never moved so fast. But after about a 5 minute check over, there was absolutely NO damage. I had engine guards on it and the leather saddle bags saved it. I would have been able to keep my Bonneville T100 from tipping cause I've had the same experience with it and could manhandle it - not the Rocket though. So yes I learned my lesson "Be ****ed careful where ya put your foot down when parking and or manuvering that big beast at very slow speeds."
