dropped my rocket...

hello georgia,

that sort of thing happens to the best of us sooner or later.... when it does, it's always a terrifying situation. I, for one, am glad you made it through to tell about it. not every one does.....

I feel ya Georgia. Finishing up a lawsuit myself against Grange Ins. Their client turned in front of me creating the same choices:

1. T-Bone her and go over her hood.
2. Lay the "Dragon" down and hope for the best.

2. WINS!
Laid the bike down and broke my right knee. Grange thinks I might have been at fault??? HUH??? Their offer was a bit off, my atty. says we will win in court if it has to go that far. They offered 25k, I said NOPE!!!! I may have to eventually have it replaced like both my hips. PERSEVERE. Insurance is a multi-billion dollar industry that can afford to pay for cage drivers mistakes. Make them pay!!!

Currently riding a Valkyrie waiting for the settlement to get my Rocket III

A sad welcome to the club. There are only those that have and those that will. Thank the lord we are still here to tell the tale. We all hear of the almost daily fatalities that happen on the beast's. We always wonder if it is the wreckless or the intoxicated, that really punch their own ticket. We all plan to read those statistics and not become one by riding responsibly. The Rocket seem to be a tough machine and fair quite well. As for the body it just takes a little longer. Glad you are still able to tell the story, and maybe in a few months maybe smile a bit as you tell the tale.......;)

That really sucks, Georgia.

Nothing pisses me off more than cars that don't respect bikers. They cut in your lane thinking you don't need it all, or cut you off right when you're taking off, the Rocket's so big it gets a bit more respect, but still they are idiots. Glad you didn't get hurt too bad. Just watch out for these idiots out there, they're everywhere unfortunately, but a disproportionate % up your way. Fishbein

Hi Georgia,
Good luck with your surgery today. I have prayed for you and hope for a quick recovery. Keep Jesus in your heart, and give him the glory and praise that you made it through this accident. Take care. Rademis

Glad to hear you made it through. Heal quick so you can get back to riding.

I got hit from behind last year, dumbass had minimal insurance. I got next to nothing. I spent more than the insurance co did to fix me and my bike.

Glad your Okay

Glad to hear your okay. I had to lay mine down in July. Some idot decided to come into my lane and then turn into a business. His right turn signal was not woring at all and i just didn't have quite enough distance to stop in time. I clipped his back bumper with the front fender and went down. I only got a little road rash on my elbow and pissed off. I talked to the cops and at first they said the other driver said he had his turn signal on. I said well it wasn't working did you even check to see. So he goes over and checks and nope not working. Then the ahole tried to say that because i hit him it stopped working. I said kind of funny since i hit the left side not the right. Well come to find out down the road that it bent the frame up by the triple clamp so i ended up getting my bike totaled even though it looked like only a little cosmetic damage. So make sure a shop looks at your bike really good. I had even riden mine back home and didn't think much was wrong. So now i'm wondering if i should go with the new tourer or get the classic again.

well. the bike is healing well, and so am I. Had surgery ( 5 breaks in my ankle ) but all put together again. on the mend. Basically I can't wait until I bak on the bike, but it's going to be a couple of months i think. so the bike is going to be stored for the winter.

cheers
