TORS tune done by dealer. Mods are TORS, staintune crossover collector, secondaries removed, GiPro with ATRE, tripple K&Ns (tripples fitted at same time as Debec). I didn't remove the O2 sensor. Although it was running fine I was definitely running too lean before; lots of decel popping especially and not idling too well when cold.

Thanks for the info. Am sort of undecided on where to start regarding a tune (should it be a base tune or modified - such as yours) before I install and begin to adjust the settings on the Dobeck.

I currently have installed the 3 K&N's, triumph cat delete bypass, stock OEM silencers and have removed the 02 sensor with the dongle. At the moment, I have loaded the 20145TuneJardinesFixed tune. I haven't taken her out yet for a run, since I am patiently awaiting the arrival of a Predator exhaust from Sam. Then my Rocket will be finally completed for intake/exhaust modification and I hope to get her dialed in proper, and checked for A/F ratio's on a dyno locally.

Hey Skip and CanberraR3,

I've been fooling around with the Dobeck unit all evening. I have the one with the LEDs (Gen3). I'm not sure if you have the one with the adjustable pots. Anyway....

Once I start the bike, the red and green flashing lights disappear and the unit scrolls back and forth with the green LEDS. However, once it finishes scrolling, the number 1 and 2 LEDs stay illuminated in yellow while the bike is at idle.

From what I understand, the Dobeck unit should be illuminated in the mode that it currently is is, which would be a green LED or LEDs, not yellow LEDs. Yellow LEDs are for acceleration mode..

I do not trust this EFI unit; I have spent a lot of money on my Rocket and do not want to damage the engine.

What does your display look like at idle? Green LEDs, or yellow LEDs?

Ah fergitabout Skip and CanberraR3, I went ahead and yanked the Dobeck out for the 2nd time. Loaded one of Sam's enriched tunes (wtpred050). Bike sounds good after a 12 minute idle and me eyes are still burning from the exhaust; I think the fuel trim additions are working....

Dobeck will be returned. For a supposedly simple plug and play device, my gut instinct is telling me not to use it at this point.

I think a trip to Wayne Trip will be in order later after the RAA event. In the meantime, I'm going to experiment with Sam's tunes. All appear to be "fat" with fuel enrichment via trim tabs.

Sam,

If your reading this; do you have a little history about the tunes you have? Some of the notes in the various tunes that you sent us are lacking a little with comments.

Sounds like your experience is vastly different to mine and there could a number of reasons for that. As I've said all along, I'm happy with the unit as it solved the 'problem' for me cheaply and simply - plug and play -, the bike's running fantastic and I'm getting reasonable/good mileage - 28 mpg, sometimes better (and confirming, that's US gallons). Hope you have better luck with the tunes.
