Added the T-Rex crash guard on the 3r this weekend. Happy with how they look, but really, pictures don't do it good. When you see the bike in person the guards don't really stand out that much, but some pictures make it look larger than it is. The view from the seated position is how it really feels.
Wow, looking at all the pics, it sure looks like you have to take the entire assembly off (including engine bolt, which I hate the thought of repeated torquing's) in order to change the oil. Love to hear for anyone who knows otherwise.

talk about a "WTF" design decision!!! I'm guessing they didn't even realize what they were doing. They could have fairly easily made the front crossmember as a separate piece that unbolts from the side bars. Even if you don't do your own oil changes, you might very well find out your dealer won't touch it either.

Either that, or make it so it clears the oil cooler. I like your detachable crossmember idea better. Email sent back to T-Rex, and commented on their YouTube Install video.
