I purchased the Corbin Fleetliner Bags in October of 2021. So, I have probably put about 40,000+ miles on them.
During that time, the bike has been over on it's left side 3 times. Just zero speed drops, not crashes. One time, I needed to remove some pretty deep scratches and do some touch up painting.
I did not see anything wrong when both bags came off in July 2025 for a maintenance trip to the dealer.
At my last rear tire change in October 2025 I did not notice anything wrong with the bags. I only remove the right bag to make it easier for the techs.
About a month ago, I noticed a crack on the back side of the left bag. Pulled the bag off, and, it was pretty bad! Sure would have noticed that when I took the bags off!
Corbin said they would not warranty because the bike had been dropped.
OK, need to fix it myself.
Peeled back the liner on the inside, and found a broken metal rib!! Ground off the plastic over the rib to get a better look.
Did some research on how to fix this mess.
My welder guy fixed the rib and said his fix shouldn't need a brace plate over it.
I packed the gap between the rib and the plastic with JB Weld SteelStik epoxy putty. It took a complete 2oz package. Pretty big void!
I drilled "stop" holes at both ends of the crack then widened and beveled the crack on both sides with a dremel. Filled it with G/Flex epoxy then put T-Rex Brute Force tape on both sides.
Glued the liner back down, and now I will see if the fix will hold.
One other problem. The gas shock that keeps the door from slamming open was leaking oil.
Found an exact replacement on Amazon.

So, just a warning to those of you who have these bags. You need to take them off once in a while and check for cracks on the back.
