Hi guys
Some of you may have read my last post..about the nightmare i had installing the bearclaw after i had topped up the coolant....Well i was very careful in topping it up and i had it a shade under the max line. It was on the minimum line.
Did about 60 miles yesterday and as my habit is riding the bike and cleaning it and checking the levels...was quite surprised to see that the coolant level had dropped a little bit...it's now between max and min..been all over the bike with a torch...no sign of any leak..all gaskets look good...as do hose's...garage floor clean. Any thoughts.
Going to get it booked in for the 500 mile service.

I need a center stand but not rivco:eek:

I wouldn't read too much into it, as big as the radiator is and as small as the expansion tank in relation is, the level is going to bounce around just from a few degrees change in temp.
I did have a little leak around the water pump when mine was new but it was so easy to find because of the obvious crust visible on the bottom of the pump.
Be sure to tell the shop when you take it in though, your complaint gives them authorization to do a pressure test just to be safe.

Im with Hellfire on this. Perahps an air bubble/pocket dissolved and gave up space to a few ounces (ml) possibly. That bear claw will get easier to install with practice. I tend to put the rear bolt in loosely first then the forward. Its much the same as the seat install; in that, they both get easier with practice.
