Have not even ridden my new Rocket ONCE yet this year. Started her the other day and I notice coolant dripping from the front water pump area. Not a hose. "Gasket" is buldging out from the left side of the pump. Want to hear the funny thing? I 'found' 2 teardrop shaped o-rings under the seat when I took it of to connect my battery tender this winter and was wondering what they were for. They are both almost the same size and the black one is a little thicker than the brown one...

Has the previous owner sold me a lemon to get rid of his problems? I know...... put my big boy pants on and deal with it you say.... but still WAH!!!!!

Anyone got an easy way to fix the leak? Thanks!!
2008 RIII Touring,

By the way, my 1997 Gold Wing ALWAYS leaks a little over the winter when it gets cold and seals right up when it warms up and I run her the first time. Wish it was the same for my UK Muscle!!!

Posting pics of the two o-rings I found

i would be carefull of a leaking pump because i think that it can also leak into the engine
might want to loosen drain plugs to see if you have any rad fluid coming out.

Pulling the water pump apart is relatively easy. First drain the block. The upper water pump bolt (which has a copper washer on it to seal) can be removed to drain (see number 15 and 16 in pictorial above). There is a vent plug on the left hand side of the block by the thermostat you can remove to get things draining quicker.

You stated anti freeze was leaking from a bulged gasket on the water pump. Was it the "O" ring that was sticking out or something else? If you can't get a genuine replacement you should be able to match the "O" ring at an automotive shop. Problem is getting one thin enough. Time to pull it apart and post some pics.
