Chasin a Gremlin.....

Thanks Kevin. Ya, I just have to walk away like uncle Joe. When it gets close to a gallon of gas and a match, time to take a break. But you know how these things can pester you to death until you find the culprit. Maybe later, I'll do a video of it running, for you tube, and you'll see/hear what I'm going through. Would have swore it was a coil heating up and taking a dump, but no. Remember, this started months ago, as an occasional fart out the intake, maybe once in every 3 or 4 rides. Always ran fine until last ride, and started breaking up close to home, and at gate, only running on 2 cylinders. BUT would pick up all 3 with some throttle. As it is now.

When you do the video have tune ecu running and show the sensor page and gauge display screen, maybe someone will see something that ain’t supposed to be like that. Like blank sensor readings. Youll find it, rest and after a good brisk ride on one of the other 16 rockets, youll be ready to make this one fast. 😎

Started breaking up close to home!, tell us about this ride and if getting fuel was involved, like close to home, or anything (pothole- wire) we should know cooter :sneaky:

If it started 3 to 4 months ago im ignorantly gonna be suspicious of the injector in #1 as its sticking or just acting up, i have a cleaned set if you wanna install. If all the 5v is good.

Well, I F'n quit! Changed number one coil, checked spark at plug, good. 6 new plugs, still no good, missing on number one at below 1000rpm, catches and fires when you give it some throttle. Changed throttle bodies and injectors. Same o chit. Compression on number one was 175lbs. nuttin wrong with that. Pulled crank position sensor. Clean as a whistle. I give up! Thoroughly disgusted, hot, tired, sore and pissed. So sick of all the sensors, wires, hoses, on and on. ****ed thing like the space shuttle. Oh for 3 carbs and a magneto............
Amen brother......

Well Kevin, this is a 2015 engine, that I put in this 2005 bike. Originally, I kept and used the old throttle body assembly, injectors and all (05). Ran fine. While trying to find this bug, I installed the throttle body assembly with injectors, that was originally on this engine. No noticeable difference. My next choice, is to switch the crank sensor. It looked fine, but who knows. Most of this stuff either works, or doesn't work, but I'm grabbing at straws. She had better straighten up soon. The longer it takes, the more of a beating it's going to get, when fixed. I'll do the tune ecu thing later. All I need now, is for my laptop to throw a fit. ;)

Have you tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for a little while to "reset" any sensors that may be acting up?

When in doubt....reboot / cycle all power!
