Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

If I went with the Lush parts, would I need a tuner other than the PCV? I know people mention tune boy with carpenter but what about Lush?

Interestingly, Bob Carpenter likes the stock clutch better than the MTC, I was surprised, he says the steel plates are made in Japan vs Taiwan for MTC, and are better quality. He said he also likes the stock connecting rods fine, he thinks they are pretty stout.
Chris when you talk steel plate are you speaking of the plate the fibers are attached to? Other then them the actual steels in the clutch pack are the OEM ones I am not sure if MTC has steels except the fact that you can use Some Suzuki ones to build a proper stack height. Myself its OEM steels, MTC fibers and Billet Forged clutch basket, and Carpenter springs with longer spring tower bolts. I have not run enough miles on the OEM kit with Carpenter springs yet to fully pass my personal judgement. but so far I am still in Favor of the MTC components with Bobs Springs. If I burn the one up in the NA motor I am already to shove a MTC basket and fibers in her.

These threads are friggen great til they turn into a pissing contest between carpenter and lush when the fact is were lucky to have both and the fact they each have their own version of the perfect bike is a bonus. Personally If I had both shops close enough to drop my bike off at I would go to lush. my tach has never reached 6k since I bought it but if I was used to sportbikes I would probably lust after carpenters package. huh, what, wait a sec, you know what I mean.

IDK which he meant, to be honest, Scott. But I asked him if I should upgrade to MTC, he said he liked the OEM, like I said, I was surprised.

I've never heard Bob actually say anything is better, he always says "we like". Amsoil is what he likes now, too, he says the most additives is not necessarily the best, from what he's seen tearing engines down, and knowing what oil people use, he feels Amsoil offers the best protection.

Lush is a class act. He has no need to piss about anything. Compared to the Carpenter rep. in this thread......

YOU have more lowend trq than you can use pulling away from a stoplight you can only use part throttle even on a stock Rocket SO you enjoy the feel of the extra power but you never race anyone ?
I meant pulling away from lights in 2nd gear! You're right about too much power in 1st. For me it's really about the low end pull like roll-ons in 3rd and higher and yes, the feel of the extra power without having to rev.

As far as racing no one has dared try yet. I pull away from other bikes and cars all the time but they don't appear to chase. I look forward to my first race but so far no takers. Guess I live amongst a bunch of wusses.

You need either TuneBoy OR TuneEcu. Both will modify the map in the ECU. With either you really don't need a Power Commander. I'm only running a Power Commander for the boost sensor that wires to the analog input. Some tuners may not be very familiar with TuneBoy or TuneEcu and might prefer to add and cut fuel with the Power Commander.

TuneBoy is free and nice to have for looking into the ECU for more than just remapping the fuel. You just need to purchase the $20 cable.

Yes ill pull away from lights in second gear at low revs no need to use 1st I have all the lowend power I want and all I need for cruising in the higher gears and if some one wants to race I just select the correct gear and the bike blasts off and its time to hold on and enjoy the surge of power all the way to the 9 k rev limit if you want But the bike has power evrerywhere from idle to the rev limit

Ok guys I'm slightly confused.

With these do I need a power commander AND tuneboy/tune ecu, or just the latter?
this really depends on what your after. Tune Boy is the only manufacturer that makes the high rpm maps so if you want the 9k rev then yes. anything else you would only need to have a power commander for wither boost control or if your going to stay with the OEM injectors and need to override the Pulse width ratio of the injectors which is set in the ECU and not accessible. The PCV is a signal interceptor so it can give you more then 80% of the injector.
