Carpenter vs Supercharger vs Turbo

There is a local shop that does pretty good dyno tuning. They are a seller of PCV and I had them do my current bike.

Anything special about the R3 when it comes to tuning, or just like every other bike?

Also I saw the 210 package only goes to 7000, but the 240 goes to 9k. Are the cams that different or what?
He has several new packages and you can create a custom setup Carpenter has run the Rocket engines as high as 10500 rpm

Bob just did a 2014 Roadster with a 7 k rev limit and the owner ran some 9 second runs at Atco dragway

Curious why the A/F runs so lean?
Not sure what you mean Steve. It's actually a very rich curve. It's at 13 at 2krpm and below 12 by 3krpm through redline. Probably a little too rich for the purpose of taming detonation. I will be able to pull out some timing for the next tune so I'm imagining that will allow it to come back up to 13 or just under 13 everywhere.

Wonder if that's the bike I just sent you guys a check for to buy the almost new OEM pistons? Was told it came straight from Triumph and had around 5 miles on it. That would be sweet to Carpenterize a brand new Roadster like that!

Pardon me!
I misspoke backwards . . . :(

What engine package did you order ?

No package. I just ordered the no-stretch head bolts and when I called talked with Eric a bit about my busted piston. He told me Bob had some OEM pistons that were basically brand new from a Rocket that had come straight from the Triumph dealer to have one of your kits installed on it. Instead of buying one new OEM piston and three new OEM ring sets for my rebuild I decided to buy the almost new pistons from that bike. Price was decent enough. My check should hopefully be there by now.

SO your not going to use forged pistons ?

I've read the stock pistons are good to 300 rwhp so figured OEM is fine since I'm well under that and also have no need to change the stock 8.7:1 compression ratio. My only consideration for going forged would maybe be less chance of another busted piston if there's bad detonation again but if the bike is tuned properly that shouldn't be a problem. If I need forged pistons because I'm running a turbo I'd hope somebody there in your shop wouldn't be trying to sell me OEM ones after telling them my situation.
