Touché on the tauted to touted catch. I regret I only got a 15 mile ride in upon taking delivery of my R3T. You're right though, I can't get the grin off my face. Here I sit, rain pouring down, unwilling to put the Beast out in this weather without more saddle time. Still hunting for those clutch & brake pedals.

I have to admit that I haven't seen anything funny so far.

Maybe it's because everyone has a different way of floating their own boat. Heck, two human beings might be so different that they might even get into a discussion on whether Harleys are reliable or not. That'd be a first.

Now let me think.....how many times have I seen agreement at the end of these discussions ? Oh that's right.......never.....they just end up in name calling. Bet that doesn't happen here though !

Can not believe the new 2008 Touring Rocket

It's all in the eyes of the beholder. I always rode sportbikes or standards (30+ years). Thought I'd never get a Harley; waaaay too expensive to get even decent performance, and that flatulating sound. Now before I'm attacked...I rented one for a week's cruise. Slowed down and "smelled the roses". Well, that was it, bike number 3 was going to be a Road King Classic. Even my wife was ready to ride with a sissy bar and pad on the back. But then I made the mistake of test riding a R3T. More power, more comfort, better handling, and more presence. Still not as pretty, but close enough. So I'm that guy that Triumph was apparently after. I'm in the process of finding just the right R3T.
To be honest, I disliked the looks of the original R3 so much that I never even considered one before the Touring came out. The original looked like a junior version of that cartoonish Boss Hoss. (Oh there I go offending someone else with my rotten opinions )
So after enjoying the almost untouchable power to weight ratio of some of the swiftest sportbikes on the planet, I don't mind a "mere" 100+ hp and 150+ tq. That's plenty to get the job done around the cages, even with a passenger on board, I'll be cruisin'.
And GPMAZ, I'm jealous as hell of your bike.

Until Triumph comes back out with 140HP (or more), I'll not trade my 06 for a new one. Hopefully Triumph monitors this site!

?????. Don't understand......The new Classics still have the same power as the 2006 models. Even the "Touring", which has been detuned for smoother touring performance, can be brought back up to around 140, if you feel the need, so I'm not quite sure just what Triumph should be monitoring this site for.......
