Mittzy you have to insert it into ya sprocket hole mate with ya tool on ya head ;)

Holds the cam shafts in place so you don't loose the timing when you remove the chain tensioner.. otherwise the cams flick due to the valve spring tension and cam lobe position..

Just makes life easy :D

2CW..

Handy gadget wish I had one back in the seventies n eighties when I used to play with a my. Z1 900 and later my xs 750 triple used to be pain holding everything place till you got the tensioner back in after doing some internal work, 9 times out of 10 you would be 1 tooth out so you would have to line it all up again. Two strokes were so much more fun to hot up, just go to town in the ports add a booster port to back of piston, add a bigger bore carbie and a Whispering Smith expansion chamber and hang on

Two dimensions are missing from the drawing I will add them and re post the drawing tonight. Even with this fixture you can still miss the timing by one tooth if your not carefull. The problem occurs when you do not make sure all the slackis out of the chain on the right side of the motor as your facing the cams. The non adjusting chain guide side.

Ok here is the drawing with the dimensions added
