Calling all Aussies - Rockets Downunder???

Right'o fella's I think we have some interest. Lets have some ideas how we can contact R3 owners that are not on this site. I'm a member of Ulysses so I can email some of the contacts I've got to find owners at different branches. Have to be carefull these days on finding addresses due to the privacy act etc.

yeah when I started the local branch "Eurobodalla" back in 2003 I was able to purchase a book of all the members that had in it names, addresses, phone #s as well as e-mail info, the privacy act came along and I pity any one now trying to start a branch

The Noosa Salvo on the r3 site , i was suppossed to go , but unforrtunatly the mother in law died so i had to go to the uk for a funeral instead ,, so i was looking forward to the Tassy salvo , and once again health issuses so could'nt go , . Now theres the SA salvo and i'm hanging out for it , My riding mate Dave went on both Salvos and they had a ball , so he's organizing the SA salvo .

Anyway at this stage not sure of the excact numbers but i think its about 13-15 are coming, including one guy from the UK ,although its a few months away at this stage , i believe there going to start from up Noosa way picking each other up on the way down.

. Myself and Dave and Dean who were both on the Tassy salvo , will ride over and meet them at Mt gambier , not sure of the itinery yet , but it will be a days ride from Gambier , to Adelaide , we will come in on the coorong road , and then cross the ferry, head to victor harbour over the ranges to delamere , ( some really nice long sweepers ) come up the coast to the southern suburbs of adelaide , . everyone has far has i know will book into the Mick o shea's , nice pub ,, good beer and irish type theme pub , for a meal , a yarn and a good nights sleep before the rides start , not sure excatly whats planned , theres talk of a day trip around the hills and visit to the motor museam at Birdwood . or a long trip to the southern Flinders , not sure but suppose it will be sorted by then .

We went and checked out a ride the other week where we thought , we could head to the southern flinders , stay at melrose , thats a good ride , hills , twisties , and some long straights for those who want to get rid off some cobwebs , , stay there and head over to the riverland from there where everyone could head home . . The actual rides are still in the planning process , BUT THE SA SALVO IS A DEFINETE GOER

I for one am looking forward to it , i've never met any of the interstate guys , but according to Dave and Dean there all a good bunch who LOVE there bikes and LOVE a laugh , so thats good enough for me , i can't wait .

Join in the more the merrier.

Been a while since this got a bump. If nothing else let's at least try to get some of us southerners a bit further north to meet up with the growing number of Queenslanders. Weather seems to be on the turn and nudging 20C these days and it won't be long before a long ride beckons. TC should be unveiling his "new" incarnation at some stage and I'm sure Mitch will want to show off his bloody new exhaust (envy envy) not to mention Hanso. And Ishmaels Jars (unless he's turned on them in favour of Zards, self-confessed tart that he is). Gotta check out Binnsy's zipper too.

Nungers and others out west, please don't feel left out; we gotta find a way of making it feasible for everyone, but jeez you're a long way away.

I'm heading south in October, down the coast all the way to end of the Great Ocean Road and back across country.

If I can I'll post where I am and maybe catch up with a couple of you?

20 of us (all British and American bikes) heading up to Banaraby Drags next weekend. My mate Donny will be running his Rocket , first time out with new cams and exhaust. He has a new injector set-up as well , should blitz 'em :kick:
