Buying a Rocket III info needed

Thanks claviger, I really appreciate all the info, I can't wait to post pictures of the first ride I haven't been this stoked for a vehicle since my first car

If I were buying a second Rocket III, I'd be looking for 2011 or 2012 Roadster, low miles, as stock as you can find it.

There are a multitude of reasons I prefer the original roadster to the 2013+ bikes, the short list includes: No stripes and (IMHO) a better ECU.

Claviger, what model is in your picture? Is that the "dark rider"

It's a 2014 which will get a 2011/2012 ECU/Gauge transplant at some point this summer.

For what it's worth, I'd give more weight to their opinions over mine right now. I'm happy to offer my thoughts and hope to be helpful, but will readily acknowledge I'm getting back into it after a while away, and you should listen closely to the ol' timers. (I don't actually know how old they are…)
