Brightest, Best, Sexiest LED Headlights !!!

Hi mate. They missed our by about 2-3 mm. I too was thinking of making a bracket up as a slightly deeper ring to replace the stock trumpy one but given I was impatient I went the mod route.Id be keen to see what you come up with.
Just ordered a pair of 8630's.

I went the PIAA led spotties which are awesome little things. Very happy with them. That said seeing the JW's headlights in action, the quality of manufacture and performance I wreckon their spotties would be pretty bloody brilliant.
I'm hanging off for a while as I've already modified some Triumph Foglights to LED.

LED Auxiliary lights - YouTube

Dropped the distributor a question about the 8415 lights. MUCH cheaper than the 6045's.

Found a series of tests comparing JWSpeaker & Trucklite LED 7" lights and the auxiliary lights here. Home - bogie's Motorcycle Product Reviews

The first ones compared against Halogens are illuminating (sic)

As nobody but JWSpeaker does 5&3/4" (yet) it's a bit moot - but the pictures say it all.

My lights are somewhere between Barcelona and Madrid.

So I spent yesterday at a local custom bike builder - Harley specialised (not unnaturally I suppose).

But they saw exactly what I was after - which surprised me a bit - and set to digging every normal priced 5&3/4" shell/bucket they had out of their storeroom. They even hauled some old rusty bits out to get a reference - full marks for effort and interest.

NOT ONE ACCEPTED THE SPEAKER.

They were as pissed as hell as it means they'll have problems selling any LED units and they'd been told they'll fit any bucket. I'm off to another custom parts place later today. I'm not hopeful. I've seen a couple of DRAG SPECIALITIES shells that might do the job - but nobody seems to keep stock. After I'm off to see a mate to try and convince him to make me some bespoke CNC cradles or adapters. If I have to go billet - I'll have ones made to fit.

Makes one wonder a bit.

SO GENTLEMEN

Having discounted the "MODIFY TRIUMPH and J.W.SPEAKER PARTS" option - we are in R+D mode.

I found some deep headlight rings on Ebay. They are Harley Davidson parts - Link Removed

There are non H/D parts out there (Drag Specialities) - but oddly they're more expensive and less comprehensive. There's no HD logo so why not.

imo they actually look better than the OEM retaining rings and - if you have the Link Removed fitted - they are a perfect fit.

imo they look a bit better too - so worth considering even if you don't want to do the LED conversion

Now just have to find a way to remove the 12mm required from the inner lip of the ring so that it all fits together.

Anybody got an Autopsy Bone Saw they don't need?

So why do some of your picture come out and others just a box with red X in it

They come out fine here - even if I'm not signed in. What browser do you use?. I use Firefox (on Windows and Linux). There on the dot.com site as well.

The red X is often a time-out issue between servers.
