Brakeaway cruise control for 2011 Roadster Has any one fitted

They are pretty much a pain in the a$$ to get adjusted correctly, but once dialed in I haven't had any issues with mine.

^^Thanks George, pictures are great. I can defiantly see what you were talking about the break lever and the washers. I will be installing mine in a couple of weeks, I'll let you know how I fair out. Thanks also R3Tex for the pics, did you have any issues with the break lever hitting the breakaway housing or is that part of the pain in the a$$ set up you were referring too.
Cheers

Ogre turned me onto the GO CRUISE throttle control last year.
I have used it ever since and love it! Several of my riding buddies have also went to it. Go Cruise is simple in design, inexpensive, effective and SAFE.
Cost is only about $20 and installation takes all of 30 seconds!

:bch:

I used a go cruise on my tiger a couple years ago. I liked it, at first. But, before long, it started slipping, and then broke. Not good.

I did notice just now that they have a metal version with adjustable tension. That just may do the trick! It is more, $30, but, still pretty reasonable.

Very interesting indeed. The two I bought have been on two bikes for over 20K miles each so far and holding tight. Both bikes are garaged and I wonder if ultra violet may affect the plastic. How long did you have yours?
I intend to look into those metal versions you speak of - thanks.

I looked - I bought two. These are billet aluminum and with adjustable tension.
Look very cool - we shall soon see . . .

No problems hitting the housing once I got it dialed in, but getting everything adjusted (tension, etc) took a few sessions to get right. You will also notice that I am right at the end of the adjustment. I would recommend the extra washers that George put in...should make adjustment easier

I also have one on my 12' RTR. It went on fairly easy, except some of the screws are tiny and don't play well with fat fingers.
It was working well until I was on my way to the Lone Star Rally, now it takes 2 hands to set. I will have to look into how to adjust it when I get in from work next week. Unless Morris gets bored and wants to adjust it before I get back.

Well, just finished installing the breakaway, 1.5 hours. No real problems or frustration. Did not need to add any washers and there was lots of room for adjustments. No problem with the break lever clearing the housing. I have free throttle control and it retracts as if there was nothing there. I still need to do some minor adjustments just to try to make it work a little cleaner (just trying to centre the slip ring a little better). The only thing I didn't like is that the bolt on the break housing is a little short, after the angle bracket is installed, the bolt doesn't clear the nut.

FYI -
Here is a pix of the new billet Go-Cruise I just received with a new billet no key gas cap.
