I'm trying them thar ceramic beaded seat pads. My first impression was that the ceramic beads were more better than the wood beads. I'm now inclined to believe the ceramic beads absorb the heat more readily and take far longer to cool off than the wood beads. I've a get pad as well. I may resort to chilling it off in the cooler and inserting under the ceramic seat beads to take the heat out. I can tell you that the gel pad alone is a magnet for engine heat. And, according to one source: A chilled get pad under your bum will bring up hemmeroids.

I have the Joe Rocket UFO mesh jacket. The back plate armor makes your back sweat but otherwise it keeps the sun off. I find myself wearing it more and more often even on hot days. I also have taken the Corbin Fleetliner fairing off during the summer and that helps alot.

I like the mesh jacket.. It's great if you're moving, but can get a little uncomfortable when sitting. Fortunately, I don't have to sit still that much. I've also removed the "removable" armor which seems to allow air to flow through better. I bought is several years ago because I have to have long sleeves when riding on base, but now I wear it quite often for sun protection. I hate sun block..



I will have to try the wet shirt under the mesh jacket if I ever get to go on a longer ride..

How do you like the mesh jacket? I have the joe rocket with vents in the arms,chest and back. I've wondered if the mesh just dries you out quicker as opposed to sweating a little and having the vents blow air over your sweat.

I had a XL sized mesh Joe-Rocket jacket but found it too short in the sleeves for my preference. I traded it for a rotating barrel composter good deal!

Triumph-wear

I've got the red w/black trim Triumph jacket with zip-on rain fly. Nice for the 80+ (F) days. Got by with it on a rather cool and wet (rain and hail) weekend through Southern Colorado three weeks ago as the rain fly blocks pretty well.

Blessed with great options here in the Front Range to avoid the heat. We can avoid the lower elevations of Colorado staying clear of the 90+days. It helps to start out in the morning at 7400 ft elevation. It is nice to include a trip up the Arkansas River which can be warm in July.

Don't make me hate you Here at a whopping 700' elavation the only way to avoid the 90+ is start riding at 0600.
