The money spent is not the issue. I do the work myself 99% of the time but after lifting the bike the first time without the proper modification to the floor jack i was a bit concerned about doing it again. Now we fabricated a plate that worked out really well and have no problem lifting the bike. My Harley (2010 Fatboy) has only been to a dealership one time. After that experience I swore off dealerships (landed In jail) Did not behave very well. Really thought that Truimph was better than that. Thought wrong. Never again.
Sorry to hear of your suffering from fools made all the more galling by having paid the bastards for the 'professional service'.
Sounds like both you and them are lucky they were 90 miles away when you discovered the damage.
Good to hear the head is ruling further action, the anger management courses have obviously had some effect.
If you can't send a pit bull through the post with a dipstick poking his ass all the way to remind him of who to 'greet warmly' when he arrives - send the next best thing, your mate the lawyer's greetings instead.
Great idea to keep the Triumph distributors informed and advised. They are the only ones who can prevent a future pattern of similar performance.
