Bevel Box Plastic Crack?

did I ever tell you how many uses there are for epoxy? You need to get a can of Lemon Pledge.
There used to be a BLING chrome cover for the plastic - that plus epoxy....... or visit a place that "welds" plastic bumpers on cars.

OR maybe somebody could get one 3D scanned so anybody can simply get a new one 3D printed.

Here it is in chrome, $65-$70 or as said epoxy or black tape or 3D printer blah blah blah:D

Looks to darn straight to have cracked. I'll see what on my 05 this morning. But here is a thought to ponder on. The newer models have a swuare port on the bottom again I suspect for moisture and debris to escape. Using epoxy on that to seal it might not be the brightest thing.

Ok so my 05 has the style with the square hole in it. Your might be the earlier style. Maybe @TO rocket has one of the earliest bikes I know of maybe his is original and he can verify what he had on it.

Oh I just noticed its the top of the box not the underneath stike my last thoughts.

Id just clean it and fill with black permatex

an off the wall thought
may be it is made that way and that slot is supposed to be on the bottom. (put on top while changing tire?)

It is not a crack it comes from the factory like that except it has a kind of clear coat finish over it and you can hardly see it but my 2005 has the same thing(except it is in better condition than yours:p)

well i just gotta ask
edit
is the not a crack on the top or the bottom
