Rocket hasn't been started for about a month and wasn't on a tender. Went to start and well you know what happened. Put it on my tender overnight and in the am the light was green. I went to start it and all I got was the headlights to come on...no gauges...and obviously no start. Would the bike act like that if the battery is bad?

Yes you could take it to a auto parts store. If you could borrow a volt meter you could check it before trying to start and after and that would tell you what you needed to know.

When you say headlights are on - are they BRIGHT - FULL intensity?
If not, your battery may have been so severely discharged, it would not take a full charge
You can't always go by the light on a battery tender - you can build a 'float' charge but it won't be at full capacity and when it gets a serious current demand it just collapses.

However if lights ARE full bright, then there is another problem
What are last 6 digits of your VIN? (so I can identify the correct schematic for your bike)

Lights seem close to full if not full...definitely not dim. Vin info is 612415...thank you.

OK - there is no separate fuse for ignition system on your year;

I'll ask the obvious since everyone else too polite to - you DO have the Kill/Run switch on Run, right? :D

Assuming that is good, check Fuse 6 - since you don't have meter, pull it out & inspect it carefully.
