As this is not a known fault with these bikes and as you have said you did a bit of a Nature Ramble with it, you may have trouble swinging that past Triumph.
I agree with Rocket3Pilot, a good TIG weld will have it sorted, ensure that it is aligned correctly before welding (obviously) I would say that you wouldn't have any further trouble as the stress would now be removed.

Looks like the heat from the weld has hardened the metal making it brittle..For that repair i would cut the bottom tube off and sleeve the 2 tubes with some ID round bar and V the weld around the diameter of the 2 parts before grinding back and painting..

Gratitude for the additional pix, M8!
I was thinking the peg rail, but this is more serious.
Have you found any displacement/misalignment of the muffler mounting thingy?
Oh, and what @joesoap said!

No its all good when together. I'd say all the other bolts and brackets hold it all steady.

Try to get Triumph to replace the frame - If they replace it with one with a NEW VIN i would be interested in buying the cracked one - Just Saying....

The rate its falling apart I'm considering selling the whole thing...tore it down on Sunday and will separate engine from frame on my next day off. Will take the frame to the dealer then.
