another exhaust mod

While I was already happy with my Headers From Sam and the StainTune exhaust I felt there could be an improvement made So I got a local Enigneering shop that specilises in stainless steel to make a new 1 into 3 collecter to remove some restriction but not take away all the back pressure below is a before and after, the after has 45mm od pipe where as the Stainetune Cat deletewas only 38 and takes a more direct route on the right side while still feeding the left muffler as eficently as possible, this should flow a lot better.
Some may ask Why when I could have bought a 3 into 1 system a set of Preds or 3into 2 like the Jars but to me it was also about Keeping the original three pipe look and the Stain tune mufflers are fairly free flowing with 1 1/2inch outlets compared to 3/4 inch for the std mufflers

Do like Hanso did mate and get one made up. I know a couple of really good fabricators that would do the job.

Looks like it would open it up a bit and give a bit more flow
whats the damage on the wallet for that mod mate?

Mitch and myself had the same setup before and even with the loss due to runing a Darkside I calulated I lost about 7% if compared to Mitches figures but some of that is probally also due to the Lean canned tune I was running which was very lean as (AFR just below and just above 14) the dyno guy reckoned I would gain by richening it up I still managed 140 rwhp and 143 ftlb's torque, but as I was only there to see what my AFR's was we did not do any tuning.
Now I have the PCV + AT I do intend to go back and see the out put now, I have only ridden the short distance from town to home so I doubt the AT has had a chance to adjust properly, I'll let you's know what I get but I need to play with the AFR tables some more to get the PCV giving the power I am wanting in the areas I want it. I must say it definatly sounds a little louder and deeper and throttle response is good, I'll take it for run sometime over the weekend to see if the butt can pick any big difference

It apeared to rev out a bit quicker on the way home and the front was doing a bit of floating as for the cost lets just say the guy is good and charges good( $445) all the welds were ground inside to keep it all smooth flowing as I said we decide to only go up to 45mm OD as any more would not have no gain, hopefully the overall result will be good

Put around 100 miles on it, then hook the PCV up to your computer and hit "Accept trim" and load the new map. I've done it three times now. The system works great!
