I love the turn this thread took. I often refer to myself and my bike as "we" or "us" because I love her so much I want to include her in OUR stories and endeavors.
As for twisting the noisy handle, I have traditionally been on the more conservative end based on other forum posters' tales. I've had the front end off the ground a few times, and I like to launch as hard as I dare, but I'm not a madman like many of our more seasoned captains. With only about 3 years of riding under my belt (2 on the rocket) I am still pretty wet behind the ears as a motorcyclist.
I have a feeling that when I get my baby back from Carpenter I'll be doing a lot more misbehaving, but I promised my old man I'd be at his funeral so he wouldn't have to come to mine and the tough bastard isn't showing any signs of slowing down. (Just took home the new KTM 1290 Superduke... dear gods of blood and fire, what a machine)
