AIS - Reed Valve Location?

This seems like such an obvious question, but before tearing apart the bike, has anyone done the AIS blockoff?

Where are the reeds (and new plates) located, and what do I have to do to access them? The instructions and Triumph service manual "seem" to indicate they are on the intake (left) side of the bike. Given the purpose of AIS is to supply extra Oxygen to the exhaust, that sounds wrong. What am I missing?

You can use this thread and an AI search engine to find videos, pics, or step-by-step instructions. The air injection pair valve will be on the intake side of the motor with a hose to the exhaust side of the motor, all located on top of the engine, so tank removal is a must. I put that smart moto kit on. the reeds are behind the air filter housing on the left side. you'll want to raise the tank, and take off hoses on the right side too.

I was hoping it would lessen the decel popping. I think it did a little. I take off all the emissions stuff from my bikes. I like the less clutter for doing maintenance and just less chance for ,say, a vacuum leak on one of the hoses, or failed solenoid. whatever. there's enough stuff jammed under the rocket gas tank as it is.
