So my Rocket Freyja, carries a viking name, but her **** mirror always reminded me of Hagar the Horrible the cartoon character with his massive helmet horns. I saw a image of a vintage Honda (or some other bike) with mirrors mounted on the front forks. An idea is born and after about a week an a half later all the parts got here and a mod was done! They are so much better mounted low. Perfect line of sight while riding and zero interference from the bike.
Parts needed: 2 each 2" atv light mounting bracket from Harbor freight, and side mount mirrors from Kimimoto. I did have to open up the spacing on the brackets to fit the diameter of the forks. Triumph says 47mm, but its a bit larger. Still, an easy process.
Total cost under $50. Upgraded all the bolts, nuts and lockwashers to stainless steel. Cost ~ ~$14. So much better losing the antlers and having great visibility behind me and nothing blocking forward.
