You will have to stop being cheap and using chewing tobacco and get a real puncture repair kit.

What tire and pressure are you using for the rear?
I had an Exedra rear fitted yesterday and they put in 40psi. I am going to up my front Avon but would hesitate to put more in front than rear. I ride solo am very heavy @350lb and have heaps in my panniers always.
 


Running the Excedra Max on the rear. IDK if you've seen on other post of mine but it's a bad luck thing.... In 4000 or so miles I've managed to get 3 screws (some would consider that a win ) on 3 different occasions whilst out in bum fock egypt!!!! Got a good puncture repair kit (Plug n go) - the 3rd plug has spit out twice as the hole is too large (as usual)........ So
for tomorrow, a new one - Hopefully Three's a charm.... Now I have an Excedra, like new, with more than half tread life left in it for sale $5.00
Runs great @ 42 lbs, except over screws
42 felt good on the front and I'm UP to 216 lbs
 
Seriously @Ishrub , I am a big boy too and I ride hard . The 42psi front and rear works well . I can Def feel loss of traction or wheelspin on bends as opposed to rollover .and am more than happy to take a hand off the bars at 130mph + , meaning bike tracks true . The Avons suit our UK roads perfectly , and the harder you push em the better they seem to grip !
 
don't go throwing out your old tyre if it is st got plenty of wear on it get it plugged from the inside with what here in Auss they call a "mushroom plug it still goes in the hole but from inside and has 2-3 inch round flat section that is stuck in side similar to the old vulcanising patches, here in Auss it is the ONLY type allowed to be used by Shops or dealer for bike tyres here is a you tube show how it is done, this is the same as used on Bike tyres
 

I'd recommend trying 40 psi up front and 42 on the rear tire, Ishrub.

Had the exact same problem .... long story short .... after much head scratching... tinkering... it was the Avon Cobra.

No car tire on my bike.
