Another g'day from Australia. Welcome. Make sure you post some pictures - would love to see some of your local colour and sights. Are there any other Rockets there that you know of?

Four Rockets in the group we ride in, two 07/08 classics and two '12 Roadsters including mine. Should be around 15-20 all around the country (of one billion people:D)

Would post snaps , some with quite a contrast with what's around - the exotic kind, and some where she really fits in.

Welcome from Canada! You are going to love the Rocket as well as this site. The people here are second to none and this is really a unique forum in terms of the quality of posts and level of support and comradery. What part of India are you from?

Here is what Triumph is saying about dealerships in India:

"Currently there are no Triumph dealerships open in India and the plan is to have dealers operational by October 2012 and sales/ bookings to start after that. We are looking to appoint dealers at Delhi/ Mumbai and Bangalore. This will be followed by dealerships in Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin and Goa over the next year."

Thanks. Based out of New Delhi, Triumph was slated to be in by the year end but there seems to be some kind of snafu! We jumped the gun and ordered and imported ours as they are planning to sell the Rocket here at a few thousand dollars more ( as it is we pay a 105% import duty on all vehicles )

Welcome aboard Captain.

A co-worker and I were talking about lane discipline, or the lack thereof, in India. He said that the lines "are only a suggestion."

Also, since it seems like drivers in India drive with their horns as much as the steering wheel, it would be advisable to replace the wimpy stock horn with something like a Stebel. That will make others notice you!

You're right, the lines are notional, it's amazing how things just seem to fall in place, with a lot of narrow misses and apoplectic faces. "Organised Chaos" is how we describe it.

Working on the horns, but more critically need louder pipes, so that the idiot deciding to just stroll across hears me coming. Had ordered ToRs, by there's hardly any difference, and no way to remap as no dealers. Am surprised as most of whats posted say the ToRs have a nice deep rumble. Unfortunately no De cat kit for the '12 Roadster as of now.

You can remap the ECU yourself with a free application called TuneECU. There is a forum on this site that covers it. You have to purchase an inexpensive cable and get the right drivers but overall it is really easy.

Jardines are probably the loudest of the mass produced pipes.

Glad to have you. These are the biggest and smoothest elephants you will ever ride. I sure have enjoyed mine. Hope you are able to meet up with other rocket owners. Great bunch of people.
Ken, from Dry Ridge Kentucky, USA.
