A good front tire ????

I have just wore out another front. I put 420 miles.on it this weekend and it was danged near a slick when I left. Its my second Dunlop 404 and it handles well with the Riken dark side. Shopping this week. Any suggestions accompqnied by your price paid.
Avon Azaro 140/80R17 - Its a m/c REAR TYRE mounted in reverse - Z rated. Way better than the Cobra. I run a Goodyear D/S rear.

I'm running a Dunlop Elite 3 on the front and after 4,000km there is almost no sign of wear, it feels great in all conditions and at this stage looks like it will be the longest wearing tyre I have tried before this I have tried the Michelin 140/75/17, it wore out to quick and gave me a few understeer moment at low speed intersections, then before that I had the Avon Cobra and while it felt ok at normal riding conditions when you started to push it, it was a bit vague wear was only average before that I had a couple of Shinkos (3) the first gave great wear and all three handle great but the 2nd and 3rd which were bought at same time (so presumably same batch) both delaminated at about 3/4 wear before that I had two Metzlers both were Sh!t I thought the first was just bad luck being the original and sitting in the showroom for two years before I bought the bike but the second confirmed it they are Sh!t

What's the advantage of running a 140/x/R1x over a 150 like standard?

I have had the same tyre for about 3,500 mile now and, IMHO, it is the best tyre I have had in every way. Those tyres include the OEM Metz, Avons, Shinkos, and Dunlop 404. It still looks new, even after those miles. I currently have the Riken on the other end.

On my Standard model, quicker and easier turn-in, better tracking and more responsive handling overall. It also makes the Beast feel about 150+ pounds lighter which is a beautiful thing!

Phil, it should do the same thing for the Classic as it does the the standard, shouldn't it?
