Time to lift the mood. This is a mates Rocket 3 about 25 years ago at Julie and my first house. He shipped it and 2 Tridents home when he went for a holiday in the UK back in 1986.

Outside Yamba hotel 1986. Never seen shop spelt like that before.

My best mate (and best man at my wedding) did a similar thing. Went to the UK , bought himself a 1960's 650 Saint , road it around Europe and then shipped it home. We used to go 'exploring' for weeks on end when he'd hang his book up from the Merchant Navy .. Marty on his 650 and me on my 1968 / 750 engined Bonnie. Marty was killed in 2002 in a 4X4 rollover up in Bowen .. his younger brother Mark has got his bike now .. always brings up more good memories than bad when I see that bike riding around.
