I don't think it will actually debut until 2020 model year.....for Triumph...that would mean any year AFTER that.

If it came out looking anything like this, it would be an improvement, especially if it was 30 kg lighter.

Ever since John Bloor took over Triumph, their "leaks" have been VERY VERY carefully staged. If you ask me the fact there has been nothing more could well mean this was a "reaction gauge" for their "Dealer Principals".

Bear in mind that IF it appears for the 2020 season it will need to be Euro5 compliant - not Euro4. As this comes into effect on Jan1 2020 it would make sense for Triumph to make sure it meets said reg's. Will need to be fully OBD2 with before/after lambda control. I don't know naturally - but I suspect it will require bigger cat's. I doubt it will be lighter, if so.

If Euro(x) homologated cars are anything to go by; the future is smaller blocks that are force fed and rev high. I have watched them decrease in cc from Euro3 to Euro6. bhp figures generally higher (and above 5252rpms) but torque numbers lower.

This does not mean it cannot be tinkered with - but it will not get any easier.
