2008 rocket 3 classic

The width of the rear tire can make it feel like it's trying to steer by itself when you go over an uneven surface like highway wheel ruts (and catching the edge of a speed bump you are trying to go around ). You can think you cleared the dip/rut/whatever with the front tire, only to catch it on half the rear one. It's a weird feeling when it happens too.

I ride pretty often with a friend who has a big Victory painted in a Batman theme. We were recently on a poker run together and topped a hill with a long straight away ahead. I waited a few seconds after realizing he had "rolled on". At the bottom of the hill, I was still accelerating and passed him with at least a 20mph difference. At the next stop, I said nothing because I honestly thought he had backed off the throttle. When we were remounting the bikes, he said.... "Your bike IS pretty fast. I thought mine was doing pretty well till you flew by." I love my Rock!

hell fire is close it is a couple of factors with the rear tire being so wide plus the the lack of weight on the front tire . i have felt the same thing it grips then you'r chasing it in to the other lane . and thought it was the tire because i never liked met me880 tiires tryed a dunlop was better and if i would lean forward it was great but as soon as you site back in the seat back to the slipping . as far as the hp & tq #s on the 04 vics they where 92 c u i engines i put a 100 cu big bore kit in with a set of cams a 2-1 exhaust and air cleaner and powercomander thats it about $ 3500 thats it and was pleased with it and still got 42-48 m p g !

That's good to hear, hopefully it'll work better for you this time around.

forget first post about selling got the heat down so far very little heat on right side now !!
What'd you do to get the heat down, Jerry? Wrap the headers? Wouldn't mind cooling mine down a bit...

i want to make every atempt at making the as lest as posable because i love having the best of both words power and comfort the bike just fits my 6'5 250 # big ass perfect and i finaly did it the heat is very little first i replaced the cooliant with engine ice disapates heat better 2. i run ams oil with a k/p oil filter have for years 3. wraped the header and got rid of the cat 90% of the heat comes from the cat because for a cat to work it must maintain 800 d.e.g.s . and i have had the bike out when it was in the 90's and humid as hell still heat not to bad !!

Just a tip from someone that flips bikes fairly frequently. *If* you decide to sell your bike, you'll be MUCH better off selling the accessories separately. You can recover 50%-75% if you do. If you leave them on the bike, you'll be lucky to see 10%.

Good luck with your decision!
