I know this thread is a few years old... I am interested to going to the Bridgestone rear and the 140 front (not sure which brand). Are you running the standard air pressure in these (34/42 psi) or something different? I have been running 40/42psi and feel like the front tire feels much less like it is going to fall into a turn. Just wondering about pressures in the different sizes. I have 17 Roadster.

It's just an opinion - But ime a 150/70 (the original is 150/80) is every bit as good if not better suited to the 240 rear.
Also easier to find a crown profile that matches the E-Max rear.
Using now a Michelin Road5 (150/70) up front for its' acknowledged wet weather performance.

I am interested in going to the 140 front tire especially if it helps with handling. My concern is: the 150 is a 72 weight rated tire which gives it a rating of 783 lbs. The 140 is weight rated at 67 which gives it a rating of 677 lbs. That is almost a 100 lbs decrease in the weight max on the front tire. That seems significant. Should I be concerned about this? I have been riding with a passenger often lately as well.

This works opposite too for the rear tire. The stock 240 50 16 is rated at 84 which is 1102 lbs. The Bridgestone 240 55 16 that is highly recommended is weight rated at 86 which is 1168 lbs.

My question was more for the front. Thanks!!!

Which rotational direction did you mount the 150?

i like the 140 the best but did not like losing the ground clearance.
might not be a problem for u.
