I just got finished reading through every bit of "Day got ****ty" thread and after all that beautiful work done to that bike is that the bike that got murdered by a deer?

Yep, that's the one. I brought it back from the dead with many of the parts being provided by the kick arse people on this site !

Now you know why these transmission troubles get me nervous.

You generally get warning symptoms. My bike would feel like it had momentarily lost power...a bit like falling out gear...particularly when leaning left. Eventually the circlip moved far enough down the shaft that 3rd connected with 4th and all went pear shaped.

It was probably 500km's between the first 'loss of drive' and the big bang
