05 Rocket silver detent spring

I am new to this Mr light speed .How hard should it be slammed?

Now that all depends on how fast you want the tears to flow...

I am replacing the clutch. So decided to replace detent spring. How do you replace it. She is very hard to get too. Or do you unscrew the Allen bolt and does the whole unit pull out to get to it? That would be easier, If I don't.

I believe i would cut off the old one with some metal snips and than find a way to expand the new spring enough so you can hook it up where it is going, make sure you don't score up the new one installing it because it will cause a weak area on the spring; Just a thought, "good luck & Be Safe!

just my opinion
i do not think that putting a scratch on it hurts it
it always (in every pic i seen) breaks in the same position. right where it meets the coils.
