Removing Air filter housing cover?

I’m going to be fitting a DNA filter at my second try soon as I ran out of time the first attempt.
When I get to the filter housing cover what’s the method of unhooking it from the back mounts after undoing the three nuts at the front .Do I push the cover away from me to release it from the three lugs?Cheers

You need to lift the outside to clear the bolts then slide towards the rear of the bike from memory, is a lot easier if you can remove the tank.

I remember removing a couple of the studs to get the filter past. Not sure if it was necessary. Just what seemed easiest.

That photo is a great help in visualizing what you need to do, which is to push up, slightly, and back (toward the right side of the bike), then pull down and away.
It's fiddly as F...k!

I did it for the first time just recently. I took the tank off first, how on earth you can do it without removing the tank defeats me. One tip I found useful in putting the tray back in, is to lube the "hooks" with petroleum jelly, lever the tray up with a block of wood and tap it back from the front with a rubber mallet, and they just pop-in !

I didn't even try to take the cover off. Didn't know you could. Guess that's why I had to pull a couple of the studs out. Oh well, next time.
