I'm feeling a bit of clutch slip shifting from 4 to 5th mostly. Or really only. And only when really getting on it. Anybody else? I'm going to change the oil. See what happens. 6.5k miles, so seems about time. I don't like stretching it out to the manufacturers suggested mileage. I always change a bit early on my bikes.

I don't have to much to offer as far as why but I have about 2800 miles on my bike and once when I was going balls to the wall it slightly slipped when I hit 3rd gear. Only thing I can think of is maybe I was still giving it a bit of throttle while shifting and it didn't let the clutch engage as easily, thats the only thing I can think of.

Ive had the same happen in 3rd on my old goldwing under the same circumstances. Changing the oil certainly isn't going to hurt I did mine at 600 and 1200 and plan to do it every 3k miles. Oil is cheap insurance.

Thanks, I'm really looking to hear that most everybody can get a bit of slip sometimes when accelerating hard. Depending on maybe releasing the clutch a bit slow, or something. As long as I know its not just my bike developing a problem.

Ouch. My ‘22 has 35k, been flogged on the drag strip/street and doesn’t have any slip. Between 4-5 gear is strange. 1,2,3 is a lot more stressful.

You might try swapping out some fresh fluid in the clutch reservoir and bleeding the air from the MC. See if that makes a difference. Some info below, but basically remove most, not all, fluid from MC, and replace with fresh and then look in the manual for how to bleed the MC on the front brake. It's the same procedure, but not listed for the clutch in the manual.
