Deer strike
I figure, if you are allowed one animal strike in your riding career, I've lived through mine, so I'm good. About a month ago two doe jump out onto the road and one bounced off me. Twisted my radiator (rupturing it) , bent by brake pedal, and blew up one of my hard saddlebags. Thanks to the 800 lbs, I stayed up. Hunting season in Oregon, so I've seen tons of deer in the last couple of weeks. Maybe a couple of weeks off the road not a bad idea.
