Would you upgard to a Roadster?

Ditto on keeping the other one. I am not a proponent of the Roadster. The riding configuration is not for us more mature folks. I have one and disliked it from day one. Recently converted it to a trike and gave it to my wife.

So are you willing to spend the cash on upgrading the old bike or a new Roadster the old bike is going to need all the upgrades anyway but its still going to be an 06 and worth less SO its your call

That's an interesting call. Do you spend $5k to upgrade a bike worth $5k , or ... ride it and roll the dice? I'm thinking I'm going to roll the dice. I'm going to put some pipes on it, got the cable on order to do the download to the ECU, and I'll do some Air Filters. Then, I've got some soul searching to do .. if I decide to go 'all out'

I would turn the '06 into a hotrod AND buy a new one if that's what you want. My first one was a '13 Roadster and then I bought an '09 Standard to turn into more of a long range bike (better seating position for me). Paint, exhaust, intake and tune will turn your '06 into a whole 'nother animal. Send it to Carpenter and you will take another jump up the scale

Sounds like a sensible approach to me
