I just wired a tom tom into my classic, I looked at the drawing and found one of the plugs for accessory lights under the tank then worked out from the drawing which colour was the live and neutral (think it was purple and black ), then put a scotchlock spade thingy on each wire and that was it. routed the cable down from the bars cable tied to the loom and pluged it in.

Hi there,

It’s really easy to do, you need to install cigarette lighter power outlet (I assume you got one already) it should have two terminals (+ & -) connect the + (the one in the center of the cigarette lighter) directly to the + on your battery and connect the other one to your bike frame (any bolt on the frame).

It’s a good idea to put a fuse on the + wire to protect your wiring harness in case you have short on your power outlet

Good luck,
Sal

The R3T has GPS connectors under the tank. All you need is the correct terminations on your bare wires and you can wire it directly into the bike's wiring harness.
