Windshield Options

I had the same issues, tried the summer screen (great in the warmer climes) I wanted to go back to the roadster screen so I fitted the lower wind deflectors, eliminated most of the buffeting, btw I am 5'10" so not sure if it will be effective for your height.

That is not me modeling the windshields...I'll leave that up to you to figure out the identity of that freedom fighter.

Regarding the buffeting...I still get some, but like others told me..."it's a fcuking motorcyclye", ride a cage if you don't want wind. With the stock screen, my helmet vibrated, more than being buffeted. For the long hauls, like my run to Texas, it can't be beat. However, I prefer the look and feel of running without it when I'm staying local. I am in negotiations for the bug screen, though.

Maybe vibration is a better word .The buffetting I can handle

Its not there without the screen ,so I can only assume it was coming over the screen and hitting my helmet because the screen was too low.

Ive got the bug screen on order and I will see how that goes before I make any more decisions

Took the windshield off yesterday and the vibration/buffetting went away. Think I'll leave it off for around town & short trips and get a 25" windshield for long trips.

I notice that in the pic with the taller windshield, you seem to be less comfortable and straining to see over the top to get away from the obstruction/distortion of looking through the plexi. It reminds me of the setup I have on my Kawa V-jer 1300 - the windshield is too high and my back and shoulders end up screaming at me after less than an hour just because I'm trying to see over the top. The shorter winshield actually looks like it would do better for you as you seem more relaxed and not straining.

For me, with a full face bucket, I don't even notice the wind if I have my eye level just over the top of the windshield - especially at speed. Also understand that I live and ride in an area that will blow 30 - 50 mph for days at a time.

That's my $0.12 worth (hey, it's tax day and I need the extra money).

I like simple rules and those are simple rules. Thanks for the link, xguidojr.

And what are you doing letting other people sit on your bike? Didn't Mom tell you not to let the other kids play with your toys?

Who makes those shape hugging crash bars on the bike with the tall screen?
Those are the Rivco's...way stronger than originals (the un-reinforced originals) The other bike has the stock Triumph ones.
