Who Has Used Tall K and N Filters Without Bearclaw?

I won't comment on the K&N's I have, as there are so many numbers, etc. I had some straight ones, but hit my knee, so went to some K&N's with the angle built in. My question is, does this put undo stress on the throttle body rubber things? They do shake around a bit. I've seen some installs where a strap is bolted to each filter, kinda holding things together.

Hi Mattspain this is a bit of an old post and I cannot recall the angles, think they are 45 degree but will check as it may have been 30deg, the hoses dont go straight on the filters and an adaptor tube is made I used PVC. The hoses go straight onto throttle bodies though. Hose is 63mm or 2.1/2" if your imperial.

K&N RX 4040 works well. I haven't noticed any problems with my knee hitting.
I do prefer to trim the bearclaw.
