What's is a food cable lubricant

Some of the same as I had, Kurykan ISO Grips and a set of those sexy SpeedTriple Clutch and Brake Levers like the ones you are running

I gotta say i was in shock when i read the name of the thread A FOOD CABLE LUBRICANT wtf laxetts probably do the job mate

Most of the new cables are plastic coated so why do you need to lubricate them? 60000 miles on my bike and they work as good as the first day.

I have to change Gracie's levers as one feels a little bent from when Gary had his off with her. Plus the Falcons Piazzo levers are loosing some of the blue anodizing. Who knows I might like what you have done and try it myself.

Ok Ponters, you have my attention. Could you post a picture of your grip set up on this thread or PM me one.

they are a genuine triumph part, basicly they are black Pazzo style levers with red adjusters and the word Triumph etched in the front face. After seeing them on Ponters bike at Hervey Bay I investigated which bike they were for as they don't come up in the accesory list for the Rockets turns out they are an option for the Street Triple and Street Tripple R you can also go to E-bay and get various knock-off's but hey you get what you pay and these have the word Triumph etched in them, here in Auss they are $264 from a dealer from NCY they are $165 less the discount they give us so it comes back to $150ish

Correct most are nylon coated or sleeved and in the right conditions (don't ride in rain or dusty conditions) will last a long time but a light Teflon coating makes them run smoother longer and helps to resist wear of the nylon rubbing areas

Thanks Hans I think I have heard about NCY on this site or the .com site before. In fact I think someone has mentioned a particular parts guy by name. If I am right and someone knows his name could they pass it on to me. I have some other things I want to try on my beast and maybe he can get me a good deal on the parts I need. (they are not Triumph parts but then a lot on my bike is not Triumph anymore )
